After School Art Classes for 2nd Graders
Small groups of maximum 6 children per class,
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays

After school classes will be led by professional artist, designer, and teacher Garri Matnadze / Garo, founder of M.Garo Art Studio. Garri's after school group will go to the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn Central Library and Brooklyn Botanical Gardens - the destinations for creative thinking classes.

Lessons will cover the following subjects:
Children will learn to make drawings using different materials, and techniques. Children will understand how to look at everyday objects and deconstruct them into basic geometrical shapes. These geometrical shapes will then be converted to a drawing by using various techniques. Children will learn to draw 2D, and 3D, explore different tools. I will introduce examples from world art history to assist in this learning process.
24 Classes @$65 = $1,560 (materials included)
12 Classes @$70 = $840 (materials included)
6 Classes @$75 = $450 (materials included)
1 Class @$85 (materials included) – trial class

You can choose from a few different package options or arrange for a single class to try it out.
Students could take from 1 class to 4 classes per week. The subject of the lessons will change weekly.
To register for After School Art Classes please make a payment using the PayPal form below. To make a payment, please fill out the form by selecting Number of Classes and Student(s) Attending, Identify Day(s) of Attendance, Name(s) of Student(s) Attending, then click the "Pay Now" button to process your registration.
Reservations: Prepaid registration and a verbal or written commitment specifying dates are required to reserve a space in the class.
Cancellation: Cancellations must be called in 48 hours prior to scheduled class to receive credit. If less or no notice is given and the reserved space is not filled, fees will be forfeited.

I just want to thank you for the class yesterday. The piece you helped them produce is gorgeous. Rainer had a great time, and is very proud of what she learned. I know that the kids get exposed all year to art instruction, but the materials you have introduced are unusual and engage a lot of their senses.
